GSM-R is an integrated special digital mobile communication system wholly developed for railway communication. Based on the GSM infrastructure, it provides ASCI including intensified multi-priority eMLPP, VGCS and VBS and also provides scheduling operation specialized for railway including function addressing, function number representation, access matrix and addressing based on location. Based on this informatization platform, the users of railway department can develop every application systems of railway. Fig 1-3 is the structure chart of operation model of GSM-R system. So the operation model of GSM-R system can be generalized as follows:
GSM-R Operation = GSM Operation + ASCI + Railway Application
GSM-R cab integrated communication equipment is applied to railway GSM-R system and is fixed on the cab used by engine driver. The equipment replaces the former wireless train scheduling communication system and provides voice and data transmission channel between cab and station.
All of the exterior size, installation size, installation requirements, type and pin of every plug-in of cab integrated communication equipment satisfy the requirements of < GSM-R motorcycle Main technical conditions of integrated communications equipment (provisional)>.
